Looking forward to Shavuot!

Only five more days until Shavuot (Pentecost)!

I'm continually amazed at how the story of Ruth, a foreigner who promised to follow the ways of Adonai and was redeemed by Boaz, parallels with Yeshua, the Messiah who also redeemed a gentile bride.

Along with this in Jeremiah 31:33:

"This is the brand-new covenant that I will make with Israel when the time comes. I will put my law within them—write it on their hearts!—and be their God. And they will be my people."

Not only is this passage reminiscent of Ruth's statement, It also ties directly to the event that happened to the early church in Acts 2, where the Holy Spirit rested upon those messianic believers who were very likely studying scripture for Shavuot.

These ancient traditions that had been practiced and developing for thousands of years, now culminate in a prophecy fulfilled!

The Spirit that gives life and power through the blood of Yeshua is now resting on us all. What was once written on stone is now written on our hearts—What a reason to celebrate!
