Practice the ancient way with us
Modern life for all of if its innovation and progress has left us more disconnected, isolated, alone—lacking peace with ourselves and with God.
What if there was an ancient way we could return to?
A way that resonates with the longing in our souls for a new kingdom?
One prescribed by the Creator, that would lead to a deeper connection with God and others?
The prophet Jeremiah (6:16) says it plainly: “Thus says Adonai: Stand in the roads and look. Ask for the ancient paths—where the good way is—and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls.”
Over seven years ago, we each stumbled into this ancient practice by way of the Sabbath. With different experience, and no one to guide us along the way, we did our best to follow the Spirit into a new, yet old way of resting. What we discovered is a long standing tradition rooted in Hebrew soil—of Sabbath rest, appointed times, and feast days—to experience God and others in an annual rhythm that has been giving life to our souls.
As we began to rediscover the fact that Jesus was Jewish, it became obvious and clear that the way he lived life on earth was steeped in Jewish practices. From Sabbath to Passover, Feast of firstfruits and Shavuot (Pentecost!), The Feast of Trumpets to Yom Kippur and Sukkot. We discovered that these once foreign festivals were significant to us as followers of Jesus. And as we participated in them, we found ourselves growing more in love with the King of the Universe and his ways.
And so we decided to share our experiences.
Our desire is to help connect people to the ancient roots of the Christian faith by embracing the Jewishness of Jesus, and so we invite you to practice the ancient way with us.
